About

Having grown up in south Florida Grant has been exposed to diverse cultures his whole life giving him a unique outlook on cultural differences across different cultures.  Grant attended Key West High School and was active in the schools year book program, sailing team, and digital video production teams.  While in Key West Grant achieved the rank of Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America and later achieved the rank of Vigil Honor in the Order of the Arrow.  Both of these ranks are considered the highest honor that a person can receive in these societies.

Education

After graduation from High School Grant moved on to Florida Keys Community college where he spent 2 years. In 2003 Grant transferred from community college to Florida Atlantic University but at the great loss of the majority of his college credits.

In his junior year at Florida Atlantic University Grant was accepted into a limited marketing internship program offered with General Motors.  Students in this program were handpicked after being interviewed by the programs professor. Grant was the only person accepted into the program that was not currently a Marketing major. While in the program Grant was elected as the director of finance for the program and was one out of 5 directors among 25 students. The internship was considered one of the most successful programs in the nation by General Motors and the directors were offered a trip to Atlanta GA to present their results to the regional management of General Motors at their south east headquarters.

After the completion of the internship Grant decided on a dual major and added Marketing as a second major even though it would delay his graduation date.  In the summer of 2007 Grant graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a dual major in both a B.A. in Marketing and a B.A in International Business & Trade.  Eventually Grant plans on going to graduate school for a global executive MBA and to continue his studies in eastern cultures and languages.

Career

To help pay his way through college Grant took a job as a food runner at a local restaurant. After a few months opportunity presented its self to move up to the position of line cook. Having no formal kitchen training Grant was able to convince his chef to allow him this opportunity. As a line cook Grant showed a artistic ability with culinary design and was moved to the desert station of the kitchen. After a few months Grant had moved up to the position of Pastry Chef where he stayed until the restaurant changed hands.  After his time at the restaurant Grant worked as a executive assistant for the VP and office manager at Majestic Mortgage. Finally in his senior year at Florida Atlantic University he was forced to leave his current job due to a school schedule conflict that was required to graduate.  After graduation Grant was able to get a job as a Assistant Online Marketing Coordinator at MedGen Inc. in Boca Raton.  Unfortunately the position was only temporary and Grant was laid off after only 2 months at MedGen Inc.  Each job up until now has helped Grant gain valuable work experience that will assist in future endeavors.
